  Helen at First National has managed my investment property on the Gold Coast for over 12 years.   Stacey Whitcroft was recommended to me for my town home sale and it is not difficult to see why! I had the pleasure of dealing with both Stacey and Stephanie, both of whom facilitate the selling experience seamlessly. These agents are experienced and professional, with good communication skills, which makes an otherwise stressful task a lot easier!   I am very disappointed in my experience with this Real Estate. We were applying for a house through an existing Tenant as we were moving to Queensland. We were told through the existing Tenant to fill out an application that was forwarded to them by the Real Estate and then forwarded to us. They knew we were a couple with two dogs and I was told that they were just waiting on our application so they could do reference checks. My Partner and I understood this as we are Landlords for a property in Melbourne. When I sent through the application I was called promptly by the Agent and the conversation started off fine and she asked me for the details for my new job and I said I would get them to her promptly as they were at home and I was at work. Before I could call her back she called me about 5 minutes later and said it was declined because of our dogs when they already had two dogs at the property that were moving out. Then she said it was because we weren't a family but a couple and the landlord wanted a family, then why were they waiting on our application and why couldn't they have notified us of this when they knew it was going to be a couple applying rather then telling us right before we are about to move. She told me many different stories so the dishonesty was the first disappointment. And we are still customers and are people and were not treated that way. Secondly the tone of voice of this agent was incredibly rude and short. It was a difficult situation for my partner and I because we had booked flights etc and now had no where to stay and she showed no sympathy. I can understand at the end of the day that if the Landlord doesn't want someone there is nothing that can be done but the dishonesty and rudeness of this woman was appalling. My Partner and I will be fine and have found temporary accommodation but I made it clear that just because of this experience when we buy our second property we will not be going through this real estate nor will we rent through them and as we are Landlords we would be exceptional Tenants. Not a good way to do business, with dishonesty and rudeness.
